I started drinking my first ginger tea when I was 5 years old. Specially when I contracted flue, my mum prepared this sweet tea full of milk, sugar and ginger and brought it to my bed in the morning. This winter season, I am passing the tradition to my son and my mum who is 80 years old now. As we all know ginger is has many medicinal values. This , combined with black tea ( Black tea inherently carries antioxidant properties to help neutralize free radicals, reducing the risk of chronic disorders and improving overall health) is a natural immunizer against viruses.
For me, when I could not eat anything during viral fever, adding milk to ginger tea gave that little bit of extra strength

Drinking black tea is a great alternative to coffee or energy drinks, offering numerous health benefits due to its rich polyphenol content. Research has shown that it can
reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases,
improve good cholesterol levels,
aid in weight management.
It also helps manage hypertension, reducing the risk of stroke, and exhibits potential anti-cancer properties by inhibiting the growth and proliferation of cancer cells.
Black tea is beneficial for diabetic patients by lowering blood glucose levels and improving insulin status, and it also has antimicrobial properties against harmful bacteria. Although further molecular studies are needed to validate these benefits.
